Over the years I have seen lots of films and read even more books. Most of the books, I confess, are somewhere on my bookshelves, as I seldom borrow a book and I don’t belong to a library. Which means I have a large book collection (about 5,000 books), which Ivy calls a dust collection. The films I’ve watched either at a cinema, or on DVD or, nowadays, on streaming TV.

I started writing these reviews when I started the website, but not every book and film appear here. The prosaic reason is simply that sometimes I forget to write one. But I hope you enjoy the ones that made it into these pages.
